House of Lords Reform: Contributions Welcome

The Commission on Political Power is launching an inquiry into reform of the House of Lords and welcomes contributions.

The Commission is aiming to publish its third options paper toward the new year and is taking evidence from a variety of constitutional experts with a range of opinions. It aims to produce a series of options for the improvement of the UK’s second chamber, continuing the Commission’s work on updating and strengthening our democracy.

This follows its first options paper in the summer on the future of the head of state, and its most recent paper on reform of the executive.

Contributions are welcomed from all viewpoints as the Commission seeks to gather wide-ranging evidence before publishing. Please contact us at info@commissionpoliticalpower.uk or via our Twitter @CommPolPower by 25 October.
